At Solberga you live in an 18th century cultural environment that is characterized by tranquility and quietness. There are large areas outside the buildings to relax or play, and you can go around and take a walk through the farm's plantation, or have a look at the animals. All rooms at the farm are spacious. The 4-bed rooms (we have five) have two normal beds and one bunk bed. In the "Magasinet" we also have two dubble rooms where guests with a dog or cat are welcome to stay.
There are three different buildings: The mansion (Stora huset) has 27 beds in 12 rooms. The huge house was built in the 1860s, and the former owners lived here in six generations. The mansion is open from April 15th to October 30th. Groups can also stay here during other times of the year. Magasinet has 15 beds in 5 rooms. Even this house is from the 19th century, and was at some point the house where the workers lived. It was totally rebuild and renovated in 1995. There is a huge old furnace in the house, where we still bake bread on certain occasions. There are also two 4-bed rooms with tiled stoves. "Magasinet" is open all year around. The 'new flat' was built in 2004 in the front part of the barn. Here you will find 3 double rooms with own kitchen. The entire flat is rented out together, and open from 1st of April to 30th of October. All rooms are spacious, irrespective of where you stay, i.e. the mansion, magazine or the 'new flat'. |
